A Quantitative Electroencephalogram (QEEG) is commonly called a "Brain Map" and is useful for determining the patterns in the brain. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BRAIN FITNESS & BRAIN HEALTH?

Brain Fitness has several component parts to understanding  that mainly deals with optimizing memory, attention, and processing speed. You need the mechanism (the brain) to be processing information and energy the best it can. 


Brain Health can consider many components but scientifically when you measure your fatty acid profile it measures you cellular health. 

  • The level of DHA in children's blood cells significantly predicts their ability to concentrate at school. 
  • The fact is, that low omega-3 fatty acids in red blood cells are associated with aggressive and ADHD behaviors.
  • Higher omega-3 index scores are associated with a larger volume of grey matter in the memory region of the brain and improve short-term memory.
  • Increased levels of EPA/DHA improved memory scores in healthy young adults.
  • Individuals with high blood cell DHA had a 47% lower risk of developing dementia than those with low DHA.
  • Low omega-3 index scores are associated with accelerated brain aging and lower cognitive abilities.
  • Optimal blood levels of EPA & DHA help to restore the survival of brain cells after a traumatic brain injry.
  • Increased DHA levels inhibit brain cell death and is an important protective agent to the brain.
  • The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) suggests that individuals with higher omega-3 index have 65% slower cellular aging.

HOW DO I CHECK AND IMPROVE MY BRAIN FITNESS & BRAIN HEALTH?

There are simple assessment that can be taken in privacy. It is a Neuro Health Assessment and comes in three parts: 


1) in the kit that is mailed directly to you there is a device to stick your finger and apply a couple of drops of blood to a card and put into a pre-addressed, pre-stamped, envelope and mailed to the lab for analysis.


2) There is a cognitive functioning test that must be administered on a "touch screen device" like in iPhone, iPad or other smart device. You will recieve a link from Dr. Fannin to connect over the Internet to the cognitive functioning test. It takes about 15-minutes to complete. The good news is that if  you don't fully understand the instructions in the moment or get distracted in some way, Dr. Fannin is able to send you a new link to take the test over again.


3) Once the lab completes the analysis of you blood that you sent to them they will issue a report of your cellular health with suggestions of how to improve your scores. After you have completed the cognitive functioning test the system will put together the cellular results and the cognitive functioning results into one convenient report and it is emailed directly to you.

WHAT IS HEART & BRAIN COHERENCE?

oThere are electromagnetic centers in the body that help to traffic energy and information.
